Five Ways to Add Summer to Your Home

Summer is here and in full swing. It is not too late to add some touches to your home that will make it beautiful and celebrate the season.

Are you ready to see five ways to add summer to your home?

Great!

Start with the Front Door

I created this cute summer door decoration with an inexpensive basket from Hobby Lobby and faux Hydrangeas.

I cut a small hole in the back of the basket and hung it on the door with a command strip.

Such a quick and easy touch for the front of the house.

Add Flowers

Flowers from your yard, a store or even faux are a perfect addition to your home for summer.

I like to use a mix of both real and faux flowers in my home.

My sweet husband picks up a beautiful bouquet for me every week during the summer months. We are lucky to have quite a few farmers selling fresh flowers in our area.

Lighten up your Accent Pillows

Changing pillows for the season is my FAVORITE thing to do!

This year I used soft pink as my accent color.

Pink is usually not my first choice when decorating my home, but it is fun to use for a season.

I don't think my husband could stand it for more than a couple of months!

Add Blue and White

Blue and white is a classic color palate for anytime of year, but it looks especially great in the summer.

Blue and white works great outdoors. I used this color combo on my front porch, and it is very welcoming.

Try adding blue to your dining table or a few accessories throughout your home.

Use Fruit in Your Decor

Displaying fruit that you were going to use anyway is a great way to add a splash of color to your kitchen.

You can really have fun with this because there are so many wonderful seasonal fruits,

So there you are, five quick and easy ways that you can add a Summer feel to your home.

Happy decorating!
